Job summary

Creekstone Farms Premium Beef is seeking a Cooler Supervisor to oversee cooler operations on the assigned shift, directing the handling, sorting, storage, and release of graded carcasses from the grading hall. The role reports to the Grading Manager and collaborates with Tagger Supervisor, Fabrication, Shipping, QA, and Maintenance.

Responsibilities include directing hourly staff, coaching, maintaining records, and upholding safety and quality standards in a fast-paced, on-site Arkansas City, KS

Qualifications

• Experience with carcass handling and beef grading standards.
• Ability to lead and manage a diverse hourly workforce.
• Strong problem solving, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• Detail oriented, organized, reliable, and resourceful.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to stand, sit, walk, and lift up to 50-75 pounds; work in cold, wet conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to hourly employees on the cooler shift.
• Train, coach, develop, appraise, and discipline employees with feedback.
• Direct movement, sorting, and storage of graded carcasses.
• Coordinate handoffs to Fabrication and Shipping to meet schedule.
• Monitor product condition and handling practices to minimize damage and loss.
• Maintain accurate production and business records for the area.
• Enforce health and safety policies in the work area.
• Develop positive working relationships with staff and peers.
