Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. Meadow Gold Dairy/Las Vegas facility is hiring warehouse operators to pick, pull, build orders and palletize products. You will load, unload and stage materials for delivery and operate equipment in coolers, freezers, or docks.

Locations include 35–40°F environments with potential overtime, weekends, and holidays. Forklift certification and ability to pass tests and screenings are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic including fractions and decimals.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks.
• Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend during shift.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stack/move cases up to 6-8 high.
• Work in a wet environment with temperatures 35–40°F.
• Willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Must have forklift operator's certification and pass forklift skills test.

Job description

Our Meadow Gold Dairy/Las Vegas facility has immediate an job opening for fast paced and motivated warehouse operators to perform any combination of picking, pulling, and building orders, palletizing products, loading, unloading, and staging materials for outgoing delivery, and working any station or line that is assigned. Additionally, warehouse operators are responsible for safely operating various material and handling equipment and machinery within a warehouse, cooler, freezer or dock environment.

Shift

Sunday: 10:00am - 6:30pm

Monday: 3:30pm - 12:00am

Thursday: 3:30pm - 12:00am

Friday: 10:00am - 6:30pm

Days Off: Tuesday and Saturday

Shift may vary based on business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal
• Effective verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift
• Must be ableto lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary and manually stack and move cases up to 6-8 cases high
• Must be able to work in a wet environment and work in an environment where temperature is maintained at 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
• May occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals
• Minimum six months experience in operating a forklift in a high efficiency environment
• Minimum six months experience related to manufacturing environment
• Must have forklift operator's certification
• Must be able to pass a written and driving forklift skills test
