Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a warehouse operator for the Meadow Gold Dairy Las Vegas facility. You will perform picking, pulling, building orders, palletizing, loading and unloading, and operate various handling equipment in cold and dock environments.

Work at the assigned stations and maintain safety, quality, and efficiency. A forklift background and certification are required, with flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum six months forklift operation experience in a high-efficiency setting.
• Must pass pre-employment drug, background, and criminal checks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move cases up to 6-8 high.
• Work in a 35-40°F environment and in wet conditions.
• Flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Must have forklift operator's certification and pass a related skills test.

Responsibilities

• Perform picking, pulling, building orders, palletizing products, loading and unloading.
• Staged materials for outgoing delivery and work any assigned station or line.

Job description

Our Meadow Gold Dairy/Las Vegas facility has immediate an job opening for fast paced and motivated warehouse operators to perform any combination of picking, pulling, and building orders, palletizing products, loading, unloading, and staging materials for outgoing delivery, and working any station or line that is assigned. Additionally, warehouse operators are responsible for safely operating various material and handling equipment and machinery within a warehouse, cooler, freezer or dock environment.

Shift

Sunday: 10:00am - 6:30pm

Monday: 3:30pm - 12:00am

Wednesday: 3:30pm - 12:0am

Thursday: 3:30pm - 12:00am

Friday: 10:00am - 6:30pm

Days Off: Tuesday and Saturday

Shift may vary based on business needs.

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal
• Effective verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary and manually stack and move cases up to 6-8 cases high
• Must be able to work in a wet environment and work in an environment where temperature is maintained at 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
• May occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals
• Minimum six months experience in operating a forklift in a high efficiency environment
• Minimum six months experience related to manufacturing environment
• Must have forklift operator's certification
• Must be able to pass a written and driving forklift skills test
