Job summary

Oberweis Dairy in North Aurora, IL, is hiring a Warehouse Cooler/Freezer employee to keep product moving in our cold-storage facility. You will pick customer orders, stage pallets for driver pickup, load and unload trailers, and position trailers in the yard.

Work in temperatures from 45°F to -40°F, Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm, with occasional overtime and weekend work. Salary is $20–$22 per hour, depending on experience, reporting to the Warehouse Manager.

Qualifications

• Read, write and understand English.
• Ability to do simple math.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 45°F to -40°F.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to push/pull up to 200 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as business needs require.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Move pallets of product from designated storage locations to the warehouse floor for driver pickup
• Pick customer orders in cooler and freezer environments
• Load and unload trailers
• Operate spotter trucks to position trailers within the yard
• Operate warehouse equipment, including stand-up forklifts, clamp trucks, electric pallet jacks and spotter trucks
• Move product safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse and yard
• Communicate with drivers, warehouse personnel and production team members to keep orders on schedule
• Other duties as assigned
