Job summary

Oberweis Dairy is seeking a Home Delivery Driver to distribute dairy and grocery products to customers in our local Missouri area. You will represent the company professionally, load orders, navigate routes, and provide excellent customer service.

This full-time role requires a clean driving record, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the stamina for a fast-paced environment. Competitive daily pay, benefits, and a sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to do simple math.
• Proven work experience as a Delivery Driver.
• Clean driving record with no traffic violations.
• Ability to drive safely in various weather and traffic conditions.
• Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of delivery trucks (DOT requirement).
• Log hours of service, such as driving, on duty and off duty (DOT requirement).
• Pick orders from the warehouse and load product into the truck.
• Deliver dairy and grocery products to homeowners within assigned regions.
• Navigate routes using a GPS unit.
• Practice safe driving by following DOT regulations and company standards.
• Use handheld scanners to track inventory and delivery of products.
• Provide exceptional customer service to our clients.
• Assist with non-driving duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Home Delivery Driver to distribute products promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.

DRIVING & DELIVERY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of delivery trucks (DOT requirement)
• Log hours of service, such as driving, on duty and off duty (DOT requirement)
• Pick orders from the warehouse and load product into the truck
• Deliver dairy and grocery products to homeowners within assigned regions
• Navigate routes using a GPS unit
• Practice safe driving by following DOT regulations and company standards
• Use handheld scanners to track inventory and delivery of products
• Provide exceptional customer service to our clients

NON-DRIVING/DELIVERY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use a power washer and shop vac to clean the interior and exterior of the truck
• Move, organize and clean areas of the truck barn
• Pick orders in the warehouse
• Crate glass bottles and stack them
• Load glass bottles into the industrial washing machine
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Read, write and understand the English language

• Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Lift crates of milk weighing up to 50 lbs, including items overhead
• Frequently bend, carry and walk with product
• Traverse multiple landscapes (uneven ground, wet or frozen terrain, etc.)
• Work in various weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.)
• Work in refrigerated conditions (33–38°F)

WHAT WE OFFER

• Daily rate of $250.00 ($25–$30 hourly equivalent)
• $500.00 sign-on bonus paid after 90 days
