Central Market is seeking a Cooking School Lead Instructor with availability for days, evenings, and weekends to uphold high standards with fresh ingredients and engaging classes.

The role requires applying advanced culinary skills, supervising up to five partners, and collaborating with the Cooking School Manager to align offerings with customer preferences. You will mentor staff, test recipes, and ensure sanitation and safety across the kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in the area of specialization.
• Culinary school coursework/degree, related education or experience preferred.
• An extensive knowledge of food and culinary trends is preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of department product, food preparation and equipment required.

Responsibilities

• Research and observe culinary trends to aid in class instructor selection and menus.
• Conduct cooking school partner training alongside Cooking School Manager.
• Address customer concerns as requested by the Cooking School Manager.
• Assist in recipe testing and in maintaining sanitation for the kitchen area.
• Assist Cooking School Manager in supervising up to 5 employees.
• Provide a high level of customer service that enhances the Central Market reputation.
• Develop content and detail in verbal communications to meet needs and achieve results.
