Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is seeking a Cookie Crew Member in Ames, IA. You’ll be part baker, part hospitality expert, and part late-night hero, delivering warm cookies and a great guest experience.

Expect fast-paced shifts, teamwork, and meaningful guest interactions. Responsibilities include baking, packaging, order accuracy, POS use, and maintaining food safety standards while adapting to evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to obtain any required food safety certifications applicable to the location.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with genuine hospitality and make interactions memorable.
• Prepare, bake, and package cookies, brownies, ice cream, and treats to quality standards.
• Accurately prepare in-store, pickup, delivery, and online orders.
• Operate the register and process guest transactions.
• Keep the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and food-safe during shifts.
• Jump in to restock, help teammates, or keep the line moving as needed.
• Resolve guest concerns with empathy and urgency, collaborating with Shift Leader.
• Deliver a welcoming experience that turns first-time guests into lifelong Insomniacs.
