Dorothy Lane Market is seeking a friendly bakery associate to measure, mix, bake, and package products, while maintaining safety and quality in a collaborative team environment.

You’ll follow recipes, monitor temps and times, label finished goods, and keep the work area clean and organized. Availability for holidays and weekends is required with opportunities for growth and benefits.

• Basic math skills for counting, measuring and pricing.

What You’ll Do:

• Accurately measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
• Operate mixers, ovens, and other bakery equipment safely and efficiently
• Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality
• Package and label finished products accurately and efficiently
• Follow recipes, production procedures, and food safety standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Work efficiently to meet daily production needs and deadlines
• Communicate and collaborate with fellow bakery associates
• Work independently while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• A desire to make folks happy by providing Honestly Better® Food and Service.
• Food safety expertise.
• A willingness to learn about and taste great food.
• A willingness to practice the DLM Team Values: Be Honest, Safe, Helpful, and Hard-Working.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• 18 years or older.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for long periods of time.
• Lifting to 50 pounds.
• Must have holiday and weekend availability.
