Job summary

Dorothy Lane Market is seeking a Culinary Center Assistant to support classes and events at our Mason location. The role involves kitchen prep, assisting instructors, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Shifts typically run 3:30 PM to 9:30 PM with 1–2 events weekly and a minimum of 3 events per month. The ideal candidate enjoys food, is able to stand long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and has strong communication and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering hospitality and guest service in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working in a kitchen/classroom setting.
• Willingness to learn about and taste great food.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation practices.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

Culinary Center Assistant

Part Time

The Dorothy Lane Market Culinary Center offers a wide range of classes and private events at our Washington Square and Mason store locations. We are seeking enthusiastic, kitchen-savvy Culinary Assistants to help prep, support instructors, and deliver an exceptional guest experience. Shifts typically run from 3:30 PM to 9:30 PM and include prep, event execution, and cleanup. The ideal candidate works 1-2 events per week, and all team members must commit to a minimum of 3 events per month.

What You’ll Do

• Prep, shop for, and organize class/event materials.
• Cook, bake, and assist with culinary tasks.
• Provide outstanding hospitality and customer service.
• Assist with post-event cleanup.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
