Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary is seeking a per diem cook to support patient and staff meals in a hospital kitchen. The role requires leading shifts, following recipes, and ensuring food safety and quality.
Responsibilities include preparing a wide range of items, coordinating daily kitchen activities, and assisting with catering and special events as needed. The position is onsite, with weekend shifts and no benefits eligibility for per diem staff.
Schedule: Every other weekend, 6:00 AM–5:30 PM Employment Type: Per Diem Benefits: This is a per diem position and is not eligible for benefits.
Under the direction of the Food and Nutrition Services leadership team, prepares and cooks a variety of foods for patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, sanitation, and service. Serves as a team lead during assigned shifts and helps coordinate daily kitchen activities to ensure meals and food items are prepared accurately, efficiently, and according to established recipes and production standards.
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Experience experience working as a cook 5-7 years required
