Job summary

WellBridge of Rochester Hills is seeking a Cook to join our award-winning team. You will prepare meals to high standards, work with the Executive Chef on menus, and ensure sanitary procedures are followed.

The position offers competitive hourly pay (up to $19.85/hour to start) with opportunities for wage increases, paid time off, and benefits. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills are required.
• Two years of related food experience; supervisory experience in a care facility is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following guidelines and regulations.

• Assist with tray line setup and plate assembly as needed.
• Assist with daily kitchen cleaning requirements.

Our Chefs prepare amazing and nourishing meals for our guests and ensure the highest quality standards of food service and the best culinary experience is provided at all times. They work closely with the Executive Chef to create and review menus, prepare food, and ensure the meals are prepared in accordance with established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies and procedures.

How you will help people every day:

• You will prepare meals following all necessary guidelines and regulations
• You will coordinate food production to coincide with meal serving times ensuring excellence in quality, temperature and appearance are achieved

What you will need to be part of our EPIC team:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Computer Skills
• At least 2 years of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility, with strong knowledge of food procedures. Experience in a Long Term Care facility is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!
