Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Cook Supervisor for a full-time role at Pikeville Medical Center. The position requires supervising food-service associates, following recipes, and ensuring quality and safety standards across meals.

Schedule is Sunday through Saturday, 4:00 am to 6:30 pm, with a starting pay of $16.00 per hour. Prior cooking or food service experience is preferred, with opportunities for training and career growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking and/or food service experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train staff.
• Good communication with team and management.

Responsibilities

• Trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
• Advises management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and portion control.
• Operates and cleans equipment following department procedures.
• Stores, labels and dates food items per policy to minimize spoilage.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety.
• Operates food-service equipment safely and according to policies.
• Helps serve meals and collects customer feedback during meal periods.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
