Morrison Healthcare at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX seeks a Cook Supervisor for a full-time role with weekends included. Location: Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center, 6411 Fannin Street, Houston, TX 77030. Pay: $17–$21 per hour.

The Cook Supervisor will direct food-service associates, ensure recipes and production standards are followed, and maintain safety and quality during meal service.

Qualifications

• Previous culinary and supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
• Florida Level 2 background screening may be required for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Train employees; plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline associates; address complaints and resolve problems.
• Advise management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
• Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Operate and clean equipment in accordance with department procedures after each use.
• Store, label and date food items according to policy; maintain established food rotations to minimize spoilage and waste.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of the food supply.
• Operate food-service equipment safely and according to established policies and procedures.
• Help serve meals; remain present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
