Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a food services supervisor to manage production scheduling and quality assurance for meals and supplies in a correctional facility. You will collaborate with the Food Services Manager to ensure meals meet quality, portion, and diet requirements.

You will also train inmate workers, uphold safety standards, and coordinate with dietary staff. A high school diploma and basic computer skills are required; prior food service or corrections experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college credits or technical training preferred.
• One year of quantity food production experience in a commercial, military, or institutional setting is helpful.
• Must be able to use computer systems and software used by the department.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production schedules and quality assurance across food and supplies.
• Oversee records such as service plans, tray assessments, restricted diets, daily sanitation, and meal delivery.
• Carry out orientation and training program for inmate workers.
• Ensure safety compliance and monitor equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

Your Main Tasks:

Working Alongside Our Food Services Manager, You’ll Be Responsible For Preparation Scheduling And Quality Assurance Across All Our Food And Supplies. With Us, You Will:

• Oversee additional records such as service plan, tray assessments, restricted diets, daily sanitation, and meal delivery.
• Carry out the orientation and training program for inmate workers.
• Ensure safety compliance and monitor equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. College credits or technical training courses are preferred by not mandatory. Must be able to demonstrate the use and understanding of the facility's recipes, policies, and procedures.
• Must be able to communicate to all personnel the minimum production/service requirements of the job.
• One (1) year prior experience in successfully managing and/or quantity food production experience in commercial, military, or institutional setting will be helpful. Prior correctional food service training will be helpful but not mandatory.
• Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently: Lift or carry and push/pull up to 60 lbs.; sit.
• Occasionally: Lift, carry, push/pull up to 60 lbs. (sometimes more); bend, stoop, reach above shoulder level, climb, walk, and stand.
