Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Services team member within GEO Secured Services. You will work with the Food Services Manager to prepare, schedule, and ensure quality across all meals and supplies.

You will oversee records such as service plans and tray assessments, train inmate workers, and ensure safety compliance while maintaining equipment readiness in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college credits or technical training preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be able to communicate to all personnel the minimum production/service requirements of the job.
• One year of food production experience in commercial, military, or institutional settings will be helpful.
• Ability to work with computers and the necessary software used by the department.
• Active, valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production/service and inventory documents before each meal.
• Oversee service plan, tray assessments, restricted diets, daily sanitation, and meal delivery.
• Carry out orientation and training program for inmate workers.
• Ensure safety compliance and monitor equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

Your Main Tasks

Working alongside our Food Services Manager, you’ll be responsible for preparation, scheduling, and quality assurance across all of our food and supplies. With us, you will:

• Oversee additional records such as service plan, tray assessments, restricted diets, daily sanitation, and meal delivery.
• Carry out the orientation and training program for inmate workers.
• Ensure safety compliance and monitor equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent. College credits or technical training courses are preferred but not mandatory. Must be able to demonstrate the use and understanding of the facility's recipes, policies, and procedures.
• Must be able to communicate to all personnel the minimum production/service requirements of the job.
• One (1) year prior experience in successfully managing and/or handling food production experience in commercial, military, or institutional settings will be helpful. Prior correctional food service training will be helpful but not mandatory.
• Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
• Must possess an active, valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently: lift or carry and push/pull up to 60 lbs; sit.
• Occasionally: lift, carry, push/pull up to 60 lbs (sometimes more); bend, stoop, reach above shoulder level, climb, walk and stand.
