Job summary

Chroma Early Learning Academy in Duluth, GA is seeking a friendly cook to prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for children and staff.

You will manage food inventory, keep the kitchen clean, and assist with center support while adhering to Georgia health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking and/or preparing meals for multiple individuals, preferably in childcare.
• Understanding of health and safety guidelines for food service.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and snacks for children and staff following health and nutrition guidelines.
• Maintain inventory of food and kitchen supplies.
• Follow the provided menu and assist with cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen.
• Keep kitchen organized and adhere to safety standards.
• Provide classroom assistance as needed.

Job description

We are looking for a friendly face to cook and feed our students, breakfast, lunch and snack. Our cook is responsible for overall food preparation, food inventory, cleaning, sanitizing and additional center support when needed. Must be willing to abide by all health and safety guidelines mandated by the State of Georgia.

What You'll Do

Prepare meals/snacks for children and staff while abiding by health and nutrition guidelines.

Maintain inventory of food and kitchen supplies.

Follow the provided menu.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.

Classroom Assistance as needed.

Requirements

Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals, preferably in a childcare setting.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

An understanding of all current and local regulations.
