Job summary

Advance Prep Academy in Stone Mountain, GA is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare healthy meals for children. You will maintain a clean kitchen, follow safety and allergy protocols, and support daily center operations.

Requirements include ServSafe and/or Food Handler Certification, CPR/First Aid, 1 year of licensed childcare cooking experience, and the ability to work 6:30am–1:30pm, Monday–Friday. Competitive hourly wage and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ required.
• ServSafe Certification and/or Food Handler Certification required.
• 1 year experience in a licensed childcare setting as a cook.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Background check must be passed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and related equipment safely and hygienically.
• Assist with daily center duties as needed.
• Understand food allergies and prevent cross-contamination.
• Measure portions and calculate serving sizes.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a cook who will prepare healthy and tasty meals and snacks for the children in our centers! Your work will ensure our children have the fuel they need to learn and grow!

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain kitchen and related equipment safely and hygienically.
• Help with and take on responsibility in other daily center duties, as needed.
• Practice familiarity with proper conditions and food storage, the ability to understand the needs of children with food allergies, and to implement methods of food cross-contamination avoidance.
• Basic math skills required for measuring and calculating serving portions.

What You’ll Need:

• Age: Be a minimum of 18 years old.
• Certification: ServSafe Certification and/or Food Handlers Certification.
• Experience: 1 year experience in a licensed childcare setting as a cook.
• Training Requirements:
  • Possess CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Pass a Background Check.
• Shift : Ability to work part time from 6:30am-1:30pm, Monday-Friday.
