Job summary

AVIR Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family in North Richland Hills, TX. You will prepare and cook high-quality foods for residents, guests and employees, ensuring all diets meet facility standards and health regulations.

Walk-ins are welcome daily. We offer competitive pay, Daily Pay, a 401(k) with match, family health insurance, PTO, and other benefits. High school diploma or GED required; healthcare food service experience preferred; strong teamwork a must.

Qualifications

• Ability to prepare and adjust menus for resident dietary needs.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

We are searching for a Dietary Cook that is resident, and family-focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a facility culture. The purpose of this role is to prepare and cook high-quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees. Ensure all preparation and cooking strictly adheres to State Department of Health Rules and Regulations and established facility standards.
