Job summary

AVIR Health Group in Texas seeks a dedicated Dietary Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents with regular and modified diets while complying with health rules. You will help build a family-focused kitchen culture and ensure high-quality, appealing dishes for residents, guests, and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a health care facility food service preferred.
• Nursing home experience preferred.
• Culinary/food service background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and modified diets according to resident nutrition needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings.
• Test recipes and recommend changes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

We are searching for aDietary Cook that is resident, and family-focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a facility culture. The purpose of this role is to prepare and cook high-quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees. Ensure all preparation and cooking strictly adheres to State Department of Health Rules and Regulations and established facility standards.
