Washington City Mission is seeking a full-time cook/shift leader to prep and serve meals, assist in safe kitchen operations, and report to the Food Services Manager.
You will work alongside residents and volunteers, plan menus, and prepare meals for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner, while ensuring proper food handling and safety. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year cooking experience, ServSafe certification, and a heart for ministry.
This is a great full-time cook/shift leader position typically with 2 weekends off per month and daytime work hours.
The cook/shift leader is generally scheduled for 8 hours between 7 AM to 6 PM.
