Job summary

San Diego Zoo Safari Park is seeking an experienced Cook to support our food service operations. You will prepare and cook a variety of menu items, serve orders, and ensure accurate plating and presentation in a fast-paced environment.

This role may involve supervising kitchen staff and performing cashier duties as needed, with a focus on sanitation, safety, and consistent quality across shifts at the Escondido location.

Qualifications

• Culinary school and/or experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Techniques, knowledge of equipment, basic food handling, preparation and cooking.
• Ability to supervise kitchen helpers and follow recipes precisely.

The Cook under general supervision performs a variety of moderately difficult duties in the preparation and cooking of a variety of food items served in the various retail food service operations. This position reports to the Chef.
