Overview

The Grill Cook prepares appetizing food using recipes created by Carle Health for Carle visitors and employees. Provides fast and courteous service to all customers while keeping a safe and sanitized work area.

Qualifications

Knowledge of materials and methods used in "short order" line cooking in a high volume kitchen. Ability to both read and understand written instructions, and to communicate with supervisors, customers and other food service workers. Versatility to perform a variety of activities involved in the cooking, preparation, and serving of food in a high volume kitchen while following safety and sanitation guidelines provided by McLean County Health Department.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates and cleans grill station and kitchen.
• Help with putting orders away.
• Maintains utensils, equipment and work areas in a clean and sanitary condition.
• May perform duties as cashier.
• Takes orders from customers and input into point of sales machine.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $15per hour - $24.32per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
