Overview

At Bloomington Regional Rehabilitation Hospital, we are passionate about patient care! We provide specialized inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services to patients recovering from disabilities caused by injuries, illnesses, or chronic medical conditions. Our 40-bed hospital offers specialized treatment in South-Central Indiana, serving patients with diverse medical needs.

We are seeking a Cook PRN to join our team of passionate patient caregivers!

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent education or experience required.
  • Food Handlers License required.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

  • Knowledge of patient diets, safe food handling, and use of the Nutritional Care Manual.
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with others.
Responsibilities

Provide healthy food options for patients, staff, and visitors by preparing meals that adhere to safety standards. Create menus and order supplies for the hospital kitchen and cafeteria. Incorporate the hospital’s mission and guiding principles into daily tasks.
