Job summary

Avera Holy Family is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare, cook, serve, and distribute meals for patients, staff, visitors and residents. You will follow approved menus, maintain quality and sanitation standards, and ensure timely delivery of meals. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential in this role.

The position requires the ability to work rotating hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, and may involve interaction with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School or GED Equivalent required.
• ServSafe Certificate - National Restaurant Association Upon Hire.
• Less than 1 year Food service/cooking related education and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items for patients/residents, meal service, staff, cafeteria, and special functions.
• Meets standards established by leadership for food preparation, quality, sanitation, and efficiency.
• Delivers all products according to time schedule set for the item.
• Makes recommendations to leadership for all menus.
• Completes daily assigned cleaning in accordance with standards.
• Delivers excellent customer service using scripts developed for Food Services.
• Ensures dietary procedures are followed per policy.
• Completes additional tasks as assigned.
