Description
The Cook under limited supervision, prepares and serves meals maintaining high standards of sanitation, housekeeping, and safety. Operates and inspects food service equipment daily. The cook is accountable for all aspects of patient, guest, and resident meal service. This individual is responsible for the preparation of hot and cold menu items for patient and cafeteria meals, as well as for special events and catering. The cook is accountable for having a fundamental understanding of prescribed diet information and food allergy protocols. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, obtaining patient meal orders, assembling trays, communicating prescribed diets, maintaining the resident and patient menu system, other kitchen related tasks, opening and closing the cafeteria, serving guests, delivering meals to patients and residents, and receiving & putting away vendor orders. The cook must proficiently complete all required documentation and abide by all sanitation and food safety standards. It is always also vital to display exceptional client service. In the absence of a Supervisor or lead, the cook takes responsibility for the department.
Starting pay: $15.73/hr (more depending on experience)

Requirements
PRN
High School Diploma or GED
Basic cooking skills, ability to follow recipes, and strong attention to detail.
Works in environments with abnormal temperatures around different areas and equipment.
Must have full body mobility, including standing, walking, sitting, dexterity, pushing, pulling, kneeling, reaching, and some heavy lifting.
