Prepare meals according to planned menus. Review menus prior to food preparation. Assist in serving meals promptly as needed. Follow all procedures in line with established policies.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with department personnel and other departments within the community to ensure proper food service for residents.
Serve and prepare food that is palatable and appealing, following portion control procedures and standardized recipes. Make only authorized substitutions. Adhere to safety and sanitary regulations at all times.
Assist with or oversee daily or scheduled cleaning duties per policies. Ensure the department remains clean and safe, maintaining necessary equipment and supplies. Report hazardous conditions or equipment immediately.
Ensure food and supplies for upcoming meals are available. Assist with inventory and storage of incoming food and supplies. Recommend equipment and supply needs to the manager.
Assist in preparing food for special occasions or parties. Anticipate residents' and families' needs, going above and beyond to create a comfortable environment.
Attend scheduled training, in-service sessions, and educational classes as required. Report occupational exposures following community policies and procedures.
