Job summary

Universal Health Services, Southeast Behavioral Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO, seeks a PRN Cook to prepare and serve meals for patients and staff according to the approved menus and production schedules.

Education and experience requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, food handler’s card, and 2+ years of quantity cooking with knowledge of modified diets; ability to work flexible hours and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY

The Cook is responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Training in food service sanitation and possession of food service food handler’s card is required.

Experience: Two (2) years’ experience in quantity cooking, preferred; basic knowledge of modified diets; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils.

Additional Requirements: Must be able to work with minimal supervision. May be required to work overtime, flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.
