Job summary

Brock & Company is seeking an enthusiastic Cook for a private school, preparing, cooking and serving foods under the supervision of the Chef Manager. This full-time role emphasizes fresh ingredients, creativity and quality dining in a vibrant school community.

The position offers a pay rate of $20.25 per hour and a benefits package including Medical, Dental & Vision, PTO, 401K with company match, Life/AD&D and Disability insurance.

Qualifications

• Comprehension of recipes, production orders and cooking instructions to prepare daily menus.
• Follow health and safety regulations for equipment use and personal hygiene.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to move objects approximately 35 lbs. to waist height.
• Adhere to COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation standards.
• Positive, proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• The production, preparation and cooking of foods including soups, sauces, salads, entrees, catering and other items as directed by the Chef Manager.
• Station setup prior to service with appropriate equipment and food items as determined by supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area according to health, safety and food handling regulations.
• Provide courteous customer service at all times.

This position will prepare, cook and serve foods determined by the supervisor. Staff will observe all verbal and written instructions regarding menu production, recipe methods, cooking techniques and food presentation.

• Comprehension of both verbal and written food recipes, production orders, cooking instructions and techniques in to preparation of daily menus.
• Follow all outlined health and safety regulations with regard to equipment use and personal hygiene.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Have the ability to move objects approximately 35 lbs. to waist height.
• Adhere to client and company protocols related to COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation standards.
• Positive “can-do” attitude
• Receive, unpack, unwrap, date, rotate and stow deliveries.
• This position may be called upon to perform other jobs as determined by the supervisor.
