Job summary

Androscoggin Valley Hospital (AVH) is seeking a Cook to complete all essential functions and assist the Lead Cook in preparing food for staff and patients. The role requires handling regular and modified diets per federal, state, and corporate standards.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent GED with special training in dietetics and food service preferred.
• Knowledgeable regarding kitchen operation, Dietary personnel job procedures, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Must know how to read Dietary Manual and how to fill out special diets under supervision of Registered Dietitian and/or Manager of Food & Nutrition Services.
• ServSafe Certification Required (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
• English speaking and writing skills preferred.
