Job Title: Cook

Cooks are directly responsible for creating great guest experiences by consistently serving quality food in a timely manner. Your responsibilities include receiving and stocking inventory, preparing, cooking, and assembling orders, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and adhering to food safety and quality standards by following standard operating procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

The individual in this position is expected to:

  • Complete all training requirements, including:
  • Zaxby's Back of House Development Plan
  • Hands-on stations training
  • Any additional training required by Zax LLC
  • Provide friendly, enthusiastic service to all guests
  • Maintain awareness of current promotions
  • Represent the Zaxby's brand enthusiastically
  • Assist with guest service and front of house operations as needed
  • Prepare menu items according to company standards in a safe and sanitary manner
  • Handle food and beverages following safety regulations and guidelines
  • Operate food preparation and cooking equipment safely
  • Maintain product levels in assigned stations for immediate needs
  • Prepare and cook food items according to standards
  • Assemble and package guest orders accurately
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Keep work areas organized and clean
  • Maintain equipment and report maintenance needs
  • Assist with inventory and storage management, including receiving and stocking deliveries
  • Store food items following safety guidelines
  • Inform management when inventory is needed
  • Clean storage areas
  • Complete tasks promptly with a sense of urgency
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Be available to work 9 to 28 hours per week
