Job summary

Dayton Children's Hospital – Main Campus is seeking a Production Cook to prepare large quantities of food following standardized recipes. The role requires knife skills, reading and following new recipes, and the willingness to taste and adjust as needed to ensure the final presentation meets quality standards.

Shift: 7:30AM–2:00PM with weekend variations; rotating weekends and holidays. GED/HS diploma preferred and 1–2 years of kitchen experience are desirable for the position.

Qualifications

• GED/High School diploma preferred.
• 1–2 years kitchen experience.
• Proper knife skills and reading/ following new recipes; ability to taste and adjust as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare large quantities of food following a recipe.

Job Details:

The Production Cook prepares large quantities of food following a recipe. Proper knife skills and the ability to make timely judgments/decisions must be demonstrated. The Production Cook must have the ability to read a new recipe and follow the instructions and have the willingness to taste the food and suggest adjustments as needed. Proper presentation of the finished product is a priority.
