Job summary

The Barnes San Francisco, part of EOS Hospitality, is seeking a Cook for breakfast and lunch service. You will prepare, cook, and present high-quality items, maintain a clean kitchen, and ensure food safety standards are met.

Report to the General Manager and collaborate with servers and bartenders to deliver a positive dining experience for hotel guests. This part-time role offers benefits including medical and dental plans, 401K matching, sick pay, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, or similar environment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety.

• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Position Overview

Reporting to the General Manager, the Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality food items for Breakfast & Lunch service, in accordance with the hotel’s standards for taste, presentation, and timeliness. This role will ensure consistent food preparation, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines. The Cook will work with servers and bartenders to deliver a positive dining experience for hotel guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before service
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of guest orders
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, workstations, and storage areas
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control

• Comply with all policies as outlined in the Handbook, Property Supplement, or otherwise issued including time and attendance expectations, uniform and dress code standards, anti-harassment policy, and substances in the workplace.
• Attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Capable of lifting up to 30–50lbs
• Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment

Required Qualifications

Wage Rage: $28-30 per hour
