Job summary

Life Care Services in Chandler, AZ is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team. The role involves preparing all food items per standardized recipes, maintaining a clean, safe workstation, and supporting a hospitality-focused kitchen. Part-time schedule with weekends and holidays required; some days with varied hours and daily Pay options.

No late nights; opportunities for training and growth. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of cooking experience in hotel/restaurant settings,

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of cook experience in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively and perform simple arithmetic.
• Ability to plan and organize work and follow recipes and standards.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items per standardized recipes.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary workstation and adhere to dress code.
• Assist with in-service trainings and education sessions as assigned.
• Perform duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor.

Who you are:

• Ability to communicate effectively and perform simple arithmetic.
• A minimum of one year’s experience as a Cook with responsibilities in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution
• Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
• Basic understanding of English

General Summary:

The Cook is responsible for the preparation of all food items as per standardized recipes as well as cleaning duties in the kitchen.

Essential Job Duties:

• Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition.
• Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
