• We are hiring immediately for a part-time COOK position.
• Location: Emirates Lounge - 500 Terminal E, East Boston, MA 02128. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Part-time schedule on Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Hours may vary. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior culinary experience is preferred.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares high-quality food according to recipes and instructions to meet schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation. Tastes all prepared food.
• Uses established ticket collection procedures during service. Maintains records from area worked.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and service, maintaining cleanliness. Stores or discards excess food safely.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized. Ensures proper storage of food and supplies.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
• Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies.
• Reports maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, and managers.
• Performs job safely, maintaining a safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Personal commitment to safety.
• Abides by all company policies, including safety procedures like wearing gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
