Holiday by Atria - Orchid Terrace in Missouri is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents and support a smooth kitchen operation. You will follow Holiday recipes, manage portion control, and ensure high sanitation standards.

The role emphasizes resident satisfaction, timely service, and adherence to safety procedures. Prior experience in a full-service kitchen and good English communication are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in industry or full-service restaurant cooking.
• Ability to prepare and follow Holiday recipes.
• Effective communication in English and excellent customer service skills.
• General knowledge of and ability to conform to sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious, appetizing meals for residents and ensure safe kitchen operations.
• Review menus and follow recipes ensuring portion-control standards.
• Oversee serving carts and garnish meals attractively and timely.
• Follow food safety procedures for preparation, labeling, dating, and storage.
• Maintain logs for refrigerator, freezer and production sheets.
• Clean and sanitize preparation and serving areas according to schedules.
• Prioritize resident satisfaction and resolve food-related issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
