Job summary

Wildwood Recovery Center in Clintwood, Virginia seeks a Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for clients and staff under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager. You will assist in maintaining a sanitary kitchen and support daily food service operations in a residential treatment setting.

Responsibilities include meal preparation, portion control, and timely service across meals and snacks, while ensuring dietary restrictions are accommodated and hygiene standards are upheld.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in food service or institutional cooking preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food safety practices required.
• Food safety certification (ServSafe) preferred or required within a specified timeframe.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to the facility's approved menu and meal schedule.

• Assist with unloading food deliveries and properly storing food supplies.
• Rotate food inventory and monitor expiration dates to ensure quality.
