Job summary

HERITAGE OAKS MANAGEMENT ENTERPRISES USA LLC is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents and staff. The role requires following planned menus, standard portions, and substitutions while maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen and consistent service times.

The ideal candidate will have proven cook experience, knowledge of health and safety regulations, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly with occasional heavier lifts and long periods of standing.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on cooking skills and experience with a variety of foods.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food preparation.
• Ability to plan and execute meal service for large groups.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves meals as indicated on planned menus using standardized portion sizes and approved substitutions.
• Ensures meals are served at scheduled times, planning and organizing food preparation tasks appropriately.
• Completes all clean-up duties after each meal service.
• Follows cleaning schedules and sanitation checklists to maintain kitchen and food service areas.
• Ensures resident, staff, and guest meals are accounted for according to procedures.
• Ensures that resident food preferences are met.
• Observes and reports issues to the Director of Food Service or Executive Director.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
