American Place Casino in Chicagoland’s area seeks a Line Cook for our fine dining steakhouse. You will perform daily preparation and service to meet the highest standards of quality and consistency while maintaining a clean, organized kitchen.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of fine dining experience, strong knife skills, and knowledge of health and sanitation regulations. Ability to work under pressure and collaborate with the kitchen team is essential.

What is expected of YOU:

As a Line Cook in our fine dining steakhouse, you will play a key role in both daily preparation and service, ensuring each dish meets the highest standards of quality and consistency. You will participate in daily line checks, assist with banquet prep and execution to the Chef’s specifications, and help maintain a clean, organized environment in all walk-ins and storage areas. Upholding company standards, you’ll follow all health and safety regulations and take part in daily sanitation walk-throughs to ensure full compliance. Additionally, you will support front-of-house staff by providing accurate information on daily specials and be expected to follow all directives from chefs and supervisors with professionalism and attention to detail.

Experience YOU will need:

• 1-2 years of previous fine dining cooking experience is preferred
• Bi-lingual is a plus
• Knowledge of health and sanitation standards
• Proper cooking techniques and knife skills
• Food Knowledge

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 25 - 30 lbs
• Stand for long periods

• Able to obtain/maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications as required by local gaming regulations.
