Pay Range

This range is provided by Defense Logistics Agency. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. Talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range: $19.00/hr - $22.63/hr

Duties

• Performs a full range of simple cooking by preparing and cooking items that require little or no processing, such as pancakes, sausage, eggs, hamburgers, and vegetables.
• Prepares food by peeling, chopping, grinding, slicing, dicing, and breading. Measures ingredients for menu items.
• Operates kitchen equipment using gas, electricity, steam, or microwave heat sources.
• Cleans work areas and equipment regularly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Conditions of Employment

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card required.
• Meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements.
• Probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete employment verification (E-Verify).
• Complete initial food sanitation and safety training within 30 days, plus annual refresher.
• Complete pre-employment checks, including medical examination.
• May need to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for access to facilities.
