Happy Valley Casino in State College, PA is hiring a Cook for Lucky Break, our quick-service dining outlet. The role focuses on preparing fresh, high-quality food with speed, accuracy, and strict adherence to food safety standards.

The successful candidate will join a high-volume kitchen, report to the Sous Chef, and contribute to an outstanding guest experience through teamwork and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one (1) year of related culinary or food service experience.
• The ability to frequently lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule based on business needs.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Performing related duties in any assigned kitchen station.

We are looking for an experienced Cook to join the team at Lucky Break, our quick-service dining outlet. This position plays a key role in preparing fresh, high-quality food with speed and accuracy while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and food safety standards. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and enjoys working in a high-volume environment where teamwork and exceptional guest service are top priorities.

This position will report directly to the Sous Chef, and will be responsible for:

• Preparing food according to recipes and quality standards.
• Performing related duties in any assigned kitchen station.
• Demonstrating knowledge of upscale cooking techniques and methods.
• Effectively working in fry, carving, vegetable, sauté, and broiler stations.
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment in compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations.

The successful candidate for this role will possess the following:

• A minimum of one (1) year of related culinary or food service experience.

• The ability to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6–8+ hours per shift.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule based on business needs.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
