Job summary

PACS is seeking a full-time Cook for the Santa Rosa Post Acute facility in Santa Rosa, CA. The role involves managing the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor, preparing meals to match menus, and ensuring safety and sanitation across shifts.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, hospital/long-term care cooking experience (1 year minimum), and a valid ServSafe certificate. PCC knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility for at least 1 year.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare meals in large quantities and follow prepared menus and portion control guides.
• Record food temperatures and prepare special diets as required.
• Supervise in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor and assist with training of dietary staff.
