Job summary

Bally’s Dover Casino Resort is seeking a dedicated kitchen staff member to prepare items per recipes and plating instructions, while maintaining quality and freshness. The role requires proper sanitation, temperature checks, and effective communication with team and guests.

Union representation applies under the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Additional duties include stocking, organizing workstations, and complying with safety rules and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Union membership may be required per collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food items properly in accordance with orders and plating instructions; avoids waste.
• Rotates vegetables and produces to maintain freshness and quality.
• Sets up pantry; distributes requisitioned supplies; keeps station clean and organized.
• Uses thermometer to ensure food safety and proper temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation with proper bleach-to-water ratio in buckets.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers, supervisors and guests.
• Follows safety rules and company policies; works safely.

Job description

• Prepares all food items properly in accordance with printed orders and plating instructions, avoids waste in preparation.
• Follows and prepares all items on the prep list or as otherwise told by the supervisor and maintains quality and fresh product.
• Ensures quality standards are maintained by visual inspection of vegetables, fruits and meats used. Rotates fruits and vegetables properly to maintain freshness.
• Sets up the pantry, obtains and distributes all requisitioned supplies. Stocks and cleans all kitchen areas. Keeps workstation neat and orderly.
• Carries a calibrated thermometer to check prepared food for proper and safe temperature.
• Maintains sanitation buckets with proper ratio of bleach to water.
• Uses protective gloves when preparing food.
• Prepares for a rush period of work without getting behind.
• Follows the instructions of supervisors.
• Provides exceptional customer service.
• Works safely, following all established safety rules and regulations.
• Communicates effectively with co-workers, supervisors and guests.
• Follows all relevant policies and procedures.
• Must comply with the company’s recycling program standards.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Starting Compensation:
