Job summary

HumanGood, at Judson Park in Des Moines, WA, is seeking an experienced cook to join our culinary team in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. The position requires weekend availability ( Saturdays and Sundays) and a strong commitment to food safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has prior professional cooking experience, preferably within healthcare or senior living, and familiarity with textured diets. You will work full-time, with duties spanning breakfast, lunch, and dinner service while

Qualifications

• Previous professional cooking experience required.
• Experience in healthcare, senior living, or institutional food service preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Experience with textured diets (minced, ground, chopped, pureed) is highly desirable.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience preparing meals for special dietary needs is a plus.

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Execute breakfast, lunch, and dinner service as assigned
• Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines
