Job summary

Lutheran SeniorLife in Center Twp, Beaver County, PA, is seeking a Cook for the LIFE Programs. This full-time daylight role runs 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus and starting wages of $18.00 per hour.

You will prepare and monitor all meals at the LIFE Center, following therapeutic diets and regulatory requirements, with a focus on portion control and safe kitchen practices. Prior experience with the frail and elderly preferred; GED or high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of portion control, kitchen equipment, and therapeutic diets.
• At least one year of experience with the frail and elderly.

Full-Time, Daylight shift. 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Rates starting at $18.00/hour.

Located in Center Twp, Beaver County, PA.

Lutheran SeniorLife provides a comprehensive array of community-based health and social service programs throughout western Pennsylvania.

Our services include LIFE (Living Independence for the Elderly); skilled nursing, home health; personal care; adoption & foster care; assisted living; adult day services; memory care; hospice; palliative care; residential living; affordable housing; home safety monitoring; Meals on Wheels; rehabilitation services and private duty.

LIFE is a program that serves county residents living in Armstrong, Butler, Beaver and Lawrence Counties. It is an all-inclusive comprehensive program that helps individuals maintain their independence in their home and community through supportive services. The LIFE programs offer an array of person-centered services from medical care to adult day supports with the primary goal of allowing individuals to remain in their own home.

The Cook, LIFE Programs is responsible for the preparation and monitoring of all meals served at the LIFE Center to comply with all therapeutic diet and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Cook, LIFE Programs requirements include:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Must possess knowledge of portion control, kitchen equipment, and have working knowledge of therapeutic diets.
• Must have one year experience with the frail and elderly.
