MGM Resorts International is seeking an on-site Cook for Lago in Las Vegas, delivering refined Italian small plates amid a high-volume, luxury dining setting near the Bellagio Fountains.

You will develop culinary artistry, maintain knowledge of sauces and stocks, and support leadership to ensure exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• 1+ years of prior relevant experience as a Cook preferred.
• 2+ years in a similar resort setting preferred.
• Formal Culinary training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of food products and apply culinary techniques.
• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment.
• Restock kitchen supplies and food items for service.
• Label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation.

As a Cook at Lago, you don’t just execute plates you create moments that define the Las Vegas luxury dining experience. Set against the iconic backdrop of the Bellagio Fountains, Lago demands high-octane culinary artistry, precision, and passion. In this fast-paced, high-volume kitchen, you will master refined Italian small plates while delivering the exact caliber of excellence that sets MGM Resorts apart.

THE STARTING RATE: $27.4514/hr

The Day-to-day

• Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques
• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment
• Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
• Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
• Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
• Assist kitchen leadership and staff in execution of service
• Maintain solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups
• Work as a team, assist all guests needs and inquiries

The Ideal Candidate

• Must be 18+ years of age
• Work on call varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
• 1+ years of prior relevant experience as a Cook preferred
• 2+ years of prior relevant experience in a similar resort setting preferred
• Formal Culinary training preferred
