Job summary

Scripps Memorial La Jolla is seeking a full-time Food Service Cook to join our dedicated team. You will coordinate and prep volume production of meals for patients, the cafeteria, and special events, while maintaining high standards of food safety and regulatory compliance.

You will participate in menu development, portion control, and turnover efficiency, with shifts and weekends as needed by the department to support patient care and campus operations.

Job description

This is a full-time position, located at our Scripps Memorial campus in La Jolla, must be available to work a varied shift (start time will be dependent on the department's need) and varied schedule including weekends.

Our Cook team coordinates, preps a volume production of meals for patients, cafeteria, catering/special events. Performs job functions to support the following Food Service operational systems; safe food handling, volume food production, menu development and modification, meal assembly and portion control, inventory management and infection control/sanitation. Follows established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with food and safety regulatory requirements.
