Job summary

Tri-State Nursing is seeking a Cook to join our long-term care team. You’ll prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, and tailor meals to residents' dietary needs while following recipes and safety standards.

In this role you’ll keep the kitchen clean, assist with meal trays and service, collaborate with dietary and nursing staff, and help create a friendly dining experience that honors residents with kindness and respect.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks according to the daily menu.
• Prepare meals according to residents’ dietary needs and special instructions.
• Follow recipes and prepare food with care and attention to detail.
• Ensure meals are prepared, stored, and served safely.
• Keep the kitchen, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
• Assist with organizing and storing food and kitchen supplies.
• Help prepare resident meal trays and assist with meal service.
• Work closely with dietary and nursing staff to keep mealtimes running smoothly.
• Create a friendly and enjoyable dining experience for residents.
• Treat residents with kindness, patience, and respect.
• Assist with kitchen duties and help keep the team moving throughout the day.
