Job summary

Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a mid-level Cook to join our culinary team. The Cook – Intermediate Line must handle multiple kitchen stations, prepare soups and sauces per recipes, and support Main Kitchen and Banquet production.

You should have hotel cooking experience, a culinary degree or related hotel experience, good communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Starting rate is $22.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Refined verbal communication skills.
• 2 yrs. Previous line experience preferred.
• Culinary degree or related Hotel experience is preferred.
• Candidate should be able to perform all basic cooking skills.
• Able to work Single station in the kitchen.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Valid Arizona Food Handlers License.

Responsibilities

• Work all kitchen stations, prepare soups and sauces per recipes.
• Work the line with Main Kitchen and Banquet Production.
• Maintain open availability and a flexible schedule, including lunch shifts, weekends and holidays.

A mid-level Cook requires good communication and culinary skills. The desired Cook candidate will have Hotel cooking experience and a culinary degree. The restaurant Lunch Cook will have the ability to work all kitchen stations, make soups, and sauces per recipes. Must also be able to work the line along with Main Kitchen and Banquet Production.
