Job summary

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Paterson is seeking a Food Service and Delivery Staff member to support meal preparation, packaging, service, and safe delivery in accordance with established standards. This role emphasizes cleanliness, courteous service, and timely meal distribution within our Paterson locations.

The position requires food service experience or a High School diploma, with ServSafe certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or 1 year of experience in food service.
• Knowledge of large-scale food preparation and service.
• Ability to coordinate kitchen functions.
• Must have a ServSafe certification within 30 days from date of hire.
• NJ driver’s license with minimal points; ability to drive agency vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following established menus and recipes.
• Serve meals on schedule in a professional manner.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in all food service areas.
• Communicate menu changes to the Residential Life team via email when needed.
• Plan ahead when time off is scheduled to ensure consistent service.
• Monitor inventory and notify supervisor of unavailable menu items.
• Help expand menu offerings and support ongoing program quality.
