Job summary

Chartwells Higher Ed is hiring immediately for full time and part time Cook positions at 2300 West Innes Street, Salisbury, NC 28144. Prior cooking experience is a plus, and we will train the right candidate.

You will prepare high-quality food according to recipes, serve meals, monitor temperatures, and follow safety standards including HACCP. Shifts include AM and PM with flexible hours; daily duties vary by location.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and ensuring proper serving temperatures and presentation.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized; stores food and supplies per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed and reports any faulty equipment.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies and participates in safety meetings.
• Follows HACCP standards and safety policies; maintains a clean and safe work environment.
